Speaking to reporters, Trump said about Petro, ‘He is making cocaine and sending it to the United States, so they have to be careful.’ Without naming Maduro, one of his closest allies, Petro described Washington’s action as an “attack on the sovereignty” of Latin America. The Colombian President had said that this would create a humanitarian crisis.

Trump recently said that as part of his anti-narcotics strategy, he would not rule out attacking drug production laboratories in Colombia. Trump expressed confidence in Venezuelan Vice President Delsey Rodriguez and said that she will do everything possible to make the country ‘great again’.
