US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that he played an important role in stopping the military conflict between India and Pakistan and this saved the lives of millions of people. He said this while addressing a program in Florida.
Statement during event in Florida
Speaking in Florida on Friday, Trump said that America has made many peace agreements in less than a year. He claimed that Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has given him the credit for stopping the military conflict between India and Pakistan.
‘Lives of one crore people were saved’
Trump said that the Pakistani Prime Minister told him that Donald Trump saved the lives of at least one crore people by stopping the war between India and Pakistan. Trump called it a matter of honor for himself.
Claim of eight peace agreements
The US President said that in less than a year America has signed eight peace agreements. He also claimed that the war in Gaza was ended and peace was established in West Asia, which was earlier considered impossible.
Claims to help in reducing India-Pakistan tension
Trump said that America helped in reducing tension between India and Pakistan, which are armed with nuclear weapons. According to him, stopping the fighting between the two countries was a big achievement. Trump has made this claim many times. Since May 10 last year, he has said about 80 times that he stopped the military conflict between India and Pakistan.
The first big announcement was made in March
Trump had said for the first time on March 10 on social media that after overnight talks mediated by America, India and Pakistan agreed to stop the conflict. The Indian government has been continuously saying that mediation by any third country is not accepted on any issue between India and Pakistan. India has rejected Trump’s claims earlier also.
