SMS is an incident of the neuro ICU ward on the second floor of the trauma center of the hospital. Around 11 o’clock in the night, the family members of the patient informed the hospital staff about the smoke. But the medical staff ignored this and after some time the smoke took the form of a fierce fire. The family of the patient living in Bharatpur mentioned this incident in a falter voice. They were unable to speak properly. In a trembling voice, he said- ‘There was a scream everywhere. We ourselves brought our mother out and there were many more people like us.

The glass had to be broken to remove the patients from the ICU ward. If the family members were present outside the ward, then they ran out of their patients on the shoulder. Someone got stretcher and no one. How as patients were taken out, a total of 13 patients are being told in the ward at that time. Out of which eight people have died so far.

On talking to the people present there, it was revealed that in about 40 minutes 125 patients were taken out of the accident. Because more patients were admitted in different wards on the ward where there was a fire, which was shifted from there to another place.

Fire workers describe the dreadful scene of that night- after the information our team reached the spot. Flames and smoke were visible everywhere. It was impossible to go in. How to break the glass and put water showers on fire. It took more than 1 hour to control the fire. By then many patients had lost their lives.

It was impossible to control the fire

Nodal officer Dr. Anurag Dhakad told that we had our own fire fighting equipment. We tried, but the fire spread so fast that it was impossible for the staff to stay inside. Staff and police took out the patients with great difficulty.

Although the cause of the fire has not been confirmed so far, the prima facie short circuit is being described as the cause of the fire. There was a stampede after the fire. Now all the patients have been shifted to other wards and to ICU.

The question is the same- ‘If attention was paid in time, the accident could have been avoided? The family members of the patients had also told the staff, gave information about smoke. But despite that, the grief of losing his family is clearly heard in their scream.
