Bangladesh is now out of T20 World Cup 2026. Scotland has got its place. The ICC had assured BCB officials of the safety of Bangladeshi players when they travel to India, but remained adamant on the demand of shifting its matches to Sri Lanka. Instead of Bangladesh, Scotland will now be seen in Group C of the World Cup. There has been a slight change in the schedule of the World Cup with the arrival of the new team.
Updated schedule of T20 World Cup
Bangladesh was placed in Group C along with England, West Indies, Nepal and Italy. Scotland has now come to this group in place of Bangladesh. Its first match will be against West Indies on 7 February, while on 9 February it will have to face Italy, who will be playing the T20 World Cup for the first time. Scotland’s third match will be against England on 14 February, while in the final match of the group stage, it will face Nepal, which will be played on 17 February.

- Scotland vs Nepal – 17 February (7 pm)
Bangladesh’s matches were also to be played in Kolkata and Mumbai, similarly, Scotland’s matches would also be played at these two venues. In the group stage, Scotland’s first 3 matches will be played in Kolkata and the match on February 17 will be played in Mumbai.
World Cup will start from 7th February
The 2026 T20 World Cup will start from 7 February and the final match will be played on 8 February. A total of 3 blockbuster matches will be played on the first day i.e. 7th February. Pakistan vs Netherlands, Scotland vs West Indies and India vs USA matches will be played on 7 February.

When is India-Pakistan match?
India and Pakistan have been placed in Group A, in which USA, Namibia and Netherlands are also present. India and Pakistan will clash on 15 February, this match will be played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Amidst the tension going on outside the field, the eyes of the entire cricket world will be fixed on the India-Pakistan match.
