There will be a weekly holiday in board primary and secondary schools in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, March 1. Monday, March 2 has been declared a holiday due to Holika Dahan. Apart from this, there is Holi holiday on Wednesday 4th March. However, according to the annual calendar of the Education Board, schools will remain open on Tuesday, March 3. This day remains confusing for everyone.

Uttar Pradesh BTC Teacher Union has sent a letter to the Elementary Education Department. The union says that the studies are completed by the end of February. After that many teachers return to their home districts. So coming back just for a day is not practical. Apart from this, Holi celebrations continue in many districts on March 3, due to which attendance in schools is likely to be low.
Confusion about the date of Holika Dahan
This year there is confusion among people about the date and auspicious time of Holika Dahan. There are different views about the exact time due to lunar eclipse and Bhadra time. According to the Panchang, due to the conditions of Purnima and Bhadra, the timing of Holika Dahan does not match with the English date. This has also created confusion about holidays.
