Schools up to 12th in UP will remain closed till January 5, decision taken amid increasing cold.

Due to the increasing severe cold wave and dense fog in Uttar Pradesh, it has been decided to close all the schools up to 12th class in the state till January 5, 2026. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued strict instructions to the officials. This order of CM Yogi is applicable to all recognized government, aided and private schools including ICSE, CBSE, UP Board.

In view of the severe cold, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to close all schools up to class 12 of ICSE, CBSE, UP and other boards till January 5. The Chief Minister made it clear that there will be no compromise on the health of children and strict action will be taken against those who violate the order.

Meanwhile, amid the severe winter, CM Yogi has asked officials to be alert with field inspection, ensure blankets, stop people from sleeping in the open and make complete arrangements in all night shelters.

CM Yogi has clearly said that all the officers should visit the area regarding the cold wave. CM Yogi has said that no person should sleep in the open, officials should ensure all facilities in night shelters. CM Yogi has given orders to ensure immediate relief arrangements, giving priority to the safety of children, elderly and helpless people from the wrath of cold.

Dense fog with severe cold in most districts of UP

Let us tell you that dense fog along with severe cold continues in most of the districts of UP. In many districts, when Sun God appeared after about 10 days, people got a lot of relief from the cold. Many accidents have also occurred in the state due to fog.
