India’s rising young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the most talked about Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025. At the age of just 14, he gave such a performance which surprised the cricket fans. His figures in T20 cricket look no less than any explosive international player.
466 runs, 44 sixes, 36 fours – Vaibhav’s amazing record
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has played only 11 matches in T20, but in these matches he:
-Scored 466 runs on 211 balls
-Hit 36 fours and 44 sixes
Batted at a dangerous strike rate of -220.85
-These figures show that whenever Vaibhav stays at the crease, the match becomes one-sided.
Historical record broken in preliminary matches
His stormy century against UAE came in just 32 balls. After that he changed the course of the match by scoring 144 runs in 42 balls. This innings of his put him on the world cricket map. He became the youngest batsman to score two centuries in the T20 format. This record was earlier in the name of France’s Gustave Mackon, who had achieved this feat at the age of 18. Vaibhav broke it in just 14 years and 232 days.
Did not bat in last two matches
While Vaibhav’s bat was on fire in the beginning, against Pakistan he could score only 45 runs and in the match against Oman, his score was only 12 runs.
