Many teams including Delhi, Mumbai and Punjab and Haryana registered victory in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on 26 December. On one hand, Virat played an important role in giving Delhi a close 7-run victory over Gujarat by playing a half-century inning of 77 runs. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma flopped in his second match and was out without opening the account. However, Mumbai defeated Uttarakhand by 51 runs. Now the question is when will Rohit and Virat play their next match?
According to media reports, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were going to play only two matches each for their respective teams in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. This means that now both the senior batsmen of the Indian team will not be seen playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy again.
When is ROKO’s next match?
Vijay Hazare Trophy will conclude on January 18, but before that the India vs New Zealand ODI series will start. The New Zealand team is soon going to tour India, where 3 ODI and five T20 matches will be played between the two teams.
India vs New Zealand ODI series will start from January 11, so Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will now return to the cricket field on January 11 only. Both players have retired from T20, so ROKO will not play in the T20 series against New Zealand.
