Screen time before bed: Good and deep sleep is necessary for every person. This has many benefits to health. But there are many of us who are not able to sleep enough. In such a situation, there is a risk of various problems. According to the Casper-Galop State of Sleep in the US report, about 84 million American adults i.e. 33% of people call their sleep quality right or poor. At the same time, this percentage increases to 38% for youth. There are many reasons for sleeping quality of sleep, including screentime.
Using mobile while sleeping makes sleep bad
Recently a new Norwegian study has found that if you use mobile phones at bedtime, it affects the quality of sleep. The study states that the use of screen per hour increases the risk of insomnia by 59%. That is, if you use a mobile phone for 1 hour at bedtime, then the sleep duration reduces 24 minutes.
Research involved youth
The study included 45,202 young adults aged 18 to 28 years and their effects on various types of screen activity and sleep were examined. The full result of this study has been published on 31 March in Frontiers in Psychiatry.

How to improve sleep quality
- If you want to improve the quality of sleep, do not use a mobile phone or any kind of screen at bedtime. Apart from this, you can try some other tips, such as-
- Make a habit of sleeping at the same time daily. Do not change your sleeping time even during holidays.
- Always choose a comfortable place to sleep. Try to calm the gold room calm and cool. Along with this, the room should be completely dark.
- Choose comfortable pillow and mattress for good sleep. Always sleep with light and loose clothes.
- Do not consume caffeinated things like tea, coffee etc. about 5 hours before bedtime.
