Senco Gold Shares: Kolkata’s jewelery company Senco shares saw a tremendous jump today. After a spectacular performance in the first quarter of FY26, Senco Gold Limited rose by 5 percent to reach an upper circuit of Rs 365.77. Meanwhile, in view of the increasing demand during the festive season, many new showrooms of the company also opened.
Retail revenue boom in the first quarter
Today, it was open at Rs 361.10 on BSE, while the previous closed price was Rs 349.90. The 52 -week high level of stock was Rs 772. The company’s market cap is Rs 5,851.60 crore. In Q1, the company’s retail revenue increased by 24 percent, leading to an increase of 28 percent in Total Revenue. During this period, the volume of diamond jewelery was 35 percent, while 4.5 percent stake in the sale of gold coins. Gold prices in the country have been Rs 86,900-1,01,000 per 10 grams on average, which is 32 percent more than last year.
Many new showrooms of Senco also opened
Meanwhile, Senco also launched nine new showrooms, leading to its total showrooms to 179 across the country. A sex outlet also opened in Patna. With this, seven stores of its sub-brand opened. The company also entered Nagpur through franchise route.
By the end of the year, the company’s target is to open 20 more new showrooms. In Q1, the demand in the company’s bridal segment was good. During this time, there was also 40 percent stake in gold purchases through exchange. The company also introduced several festive offers and 11,400 new designs.
The company says that there is usually no festival or marriage related demand in the second quarter. In this season of monsoon, demand is less than the first quarter. With early monsoon arrival (for the first time in the last 16 years) and with the prediction of average rainfall and stable macroeconomic environment, we are now preparing for the second quarter, focusing on inventory optimization, festive collections and accelerating the diamond and lightweight jewelery lines.
