September 2025 Bank Holidays: Now there is just one day left for the month of September. In such a situation, people are eager to know how many days of holidays will remain in the banks this month so that they can handle their necessary work accordingly.
Banks will be closed on many different occasions
According to the list of holidays given by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will remain closed for 15 days in many states in the month of September. However, this does not mean that banks are going to be closed in a single day everywhere because the holidays in every state are on different occasions. Only on the day of national holiday, banks are closed together in the same day across the country.
In addition to Sunday, second and fourth Saturdays, banks are going to be closed on many festivals like Onam, Durga Puja, Eid-e-Milad and Navratri in the months of September. All government and private sector banks like State Bank of India (SBI), ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank will follow these holidays notified by RBI.
Holiday list in the month of September
- On September 3, banks will be closed for Karma Puja in Ranchi.
- On September 4, banks will remain closed on the occasion of Onam in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
- On September 5, on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad/Milad-un-Nabi or Thiruvonam, banks will be discharged in many cities including Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
- On September 6, on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad/Indrajatra, banks will be holiday in Gangtok, Jammu, Raipur and Srinagar.
- On September 12, banks will remain closed due to Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi in Jammu and Srinagar.
- The banks of Jaipur will be closed on the occasion of establishment of Navratri on 22 September.
- On 23 September, the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh ji will be celebrated in Jammu and Srinagar, so banks will be holiday.
- Banks are going to be closed on the occasion of Mahasaptami on 29 September in Agartala, Gangtok and Kolkata.
- Banks will remain closed on Mahashtami on 30 September in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Imphal, Jaipur, Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi.
Online services will be operational
However, there is nothing to panic in this because even though the branch is closed, online services will remain operational. Today you can manage your account digitally. You can transact money, check balance, pay bills, etc.
