The servant working at the house of actress Kashish Kapoor has been accused of theft of Rs 4 lakh. Amboli police of Mumbai said that a servant working at the house of television actress Kashish Kapoor living in Andheri stole 4 lakh cash from her house and escaped.
Police engaged in investigation
Amboli police registered a case of theft against accused Sachin Kumar Chaudhary and started investigating. Along with the local police station, a special team of Crime Branch has also started looking for a job.
Kashish Kapoor is originally from Purnia, Bihar. She currently lives in New Ambivali Society located in Veera Desai Road in Azad Nagar, Andheri. Actress Kashish has worked in many television shows and has also been a contestant of the popular reality show Bigg Boss.
Sachin Kumar was working with Kapoor for the last five months. Everyday Sachin used to come on duty at 11:30 pm and after completing his work, he used to go till 1 pm.
7 lakh rupees were kept in the cupboard
According to the complaint lodged at Amboli police station, Kashish had kept Rs 7 lakh in a drawer of his wardrobe. However, on July 9, when he opened the cupboard to withdraw some money to send his mother to Bihar, he found that there were only 2.5 lakh left in the cupboard. The remaining 4.5 lakhs were missing. Then searched the cupboard well, but no clue of money was found.
Sachin Kumar got nervous after inquiring at home. When Kashish Kapoor tried to check his pocket, he refused and soon ran away from the house with 50,000 cash. The actress suspected that she had stolen the rest of the money. Kashish Kapoor lodged a complaint at Amboli police station. On the basis of the complaint of the actress, the police have registered a case under the stolen sections and started searching for the absconding house help.
