This is because Foxcon was working on a rapid expansion to bring the iPhone 17 to the market soon. According to reports, there was a constant pressure from China not to send the technology related to iPhone production in India and South Asia nor send the trained staff from there. This is a big attempt to prevent the iPhone business from shifting from there after commercial tension between the US and China.

Apple was trying to produce most of the phones sold in America by the end of 2026. But due to the huge shortage of technical stock, now this time-limit can be affected.
