These days, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is busy preparing for the release of Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film ‘O Romeo’. Trupti Dimri is going to be seen with him in this film. Recently, during an interview, Shahid was asked about the ongoing discussions regarding a possible crossover between Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Animal Park’ and his superhit film ‘Kabir Singh’, on which he spoke openly.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga had contacted Shahid
Shahid made an interesting revelation in the conversation. He told that during the shooting of ‘Animal Park’, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had contacted him. Vanga wanted a small scene of Kabir Singh to be shown in the film. According to Shahid, this idea had come to Vanga’s mind at the time of the beginning of the film but due to some reasons this plan could not move forward.
Dates became the biggest problem
During the conversation, Shahid told that when ‘Animal’ was being made, there was a discussion about such a crossover. He said, ‘Sandeep came to meet me when Animal was also being made.’ Shahid further told that Vanga wanted a scene of Kabir Singh in the film but it could not happen due to dates and some other issues.
The decision on crossover is in the hands of the director
Shahid clearly said that both the characters Kabir Singh and Animal came from the thinking of Sandeep Reddy Vanga. He said, ‘Those two characters are his, that world is his. Whatever comes to mind to do with them, we will do it. This means that if such a crossover ever happens in the future, its entire decision will depend on the director’s perspective.
Tremendous success of ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Animal’
Let us tell you that Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani were seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film ‘Kabir Singh’ released in the year 2019 and the film made huge money at the box office. Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Trupti Dimri starred in ‘Animal’ released in 2023. This film also performed brilliantly at the box office and garnered a lot of discussion.
