The year 2026 is going to be named after Bollywood’s chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor. This year his two great films are going to be released in theatres. Earlier the release date of his romantic film ‘O Romeo’ was announced and now the release date of his film ‘Cocktail 2’ has also been revealed. Both these films are going to hit the big screen in 2026 only.
Shahid Kapoor is going to be seen in the film ‘O Romeo’ directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Actress Trupti Dimri will be seen with him in this film Ishq Farmati. ‘O Romeo’ will hit the theaters on February 13 on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. Shahid’s second film ‘Cocktail 2’ will hit the big screens in September 2026, 6 months after the release of ‘O Romeo’.
‘O Romeo and Cocktail are 2 completely different films’
Regarding the gap between the release of ‘O Romeo’ and ‘Cocktail 2’, Mid Day quoted a source and wrote – ‘This gap was decided thoughtfully. O Romeo and ‘Cocktail 2’ are completely different films, and no one wanted them to come in each other’s way. The time of six months gives Shahid a chance to come with new energy and image. This is also true from a commercial point of view. The audience needs time to grow from one character and accept another. With its release in September, Cocktail 2 will get its own identity.
Regarding ‘Cocktail 2’, it is further written in the report – ‘The film is almost ready in terms of story. Right now, all the focus is on the songs, their sound mix, final arrangement and their coordination in the film. Music is very important in Cocktail 2 and the team wants to get it absolutely right.
