Actor Shahid Kapoor has spent more than two decades in Bollywood. He recently told that people think that he became an actor because he was Pankaj Kapoor’s son. but it’s not like that.

Shahid Kapoor talked about his personal life in Punjab First Voice Podcast. He said, ‘People think that I am Pankaj Kapoor’s son, that’s why I am an actor. But my parents separated when I was 3 years old. I could not spend much time with my father. So people didn’t even know that I was their son. And I also never used his name. I lived with my mother. Things just kept happening for me. I never asked my father for help. He also never called for my work.
Shahid also talked about the separation of his parents. He said, ‘I was very young when my parents got divorced. You feel that absence. I think many people can relate to this.
Neelima and Pankaj’s wedding
Let us tell you that Shahid’s mother’s name is Neelima Azim. After divorcing Pankaj Kapoor, Neelima was a single parent for many years. After this she married Rajesh Khattar. Rajesh and Neelima are parents of a son Ishaan. However, this relationship between Rajesh and Neelima did not last long and they got divorced. After this Neelima married for the third time. Her third marriage was with Raza Ali Khan. This marriage lasted from 2004 to 2009, after which both of them separated.
Whereas Pankaj Kapoor married Supriya Pathak for the second time. He has two children from this marriage.
