Every year the International Cricket Council (ICC) The best team of the year for all three formats is selected. Apart from ICC, many former cricketers also select the best team of the year. On similar lines, we have also selected the best ODI team of 2025. In this, the best players from all over the world have been selected this year. India’s Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Harshit Rana are part of our 2025 ODI Team of the Year.
Rohit Sharma and Shai Hope openers, Virat at number three
We have selected Rohit Sharma and West Indies’ Shai Hope as openers in our team. In 2025, Rohit has scored 650 runs in 14 matches at an average of 100.46. During this period, Hitman has scored two centuries and four half-centuries. Whereas Shai Hope has scored 670 runs in 15 matches at an average of 98.82. Hope scored two centuries and four half-centuries this year. We have chosen Virat Kohli for number three. Virat has scored 651 runs in 13 matches in 2025 at an average of 96.15. King Kohli has scored three centuries and four half-centuries.
Harshit Rana also got a place in this team
Joe Root scored the most runs this year. 808 runs came from his bat in 15 matches. He has been selected in the team for number four. After this there is Salman Ali Aga of Pakistan. He scored 667 runs in 17 matches in 2025. After this, we have selected New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell for number seven. Bracewell scored 368 runs in 18 matches this year and took 17 wickets.
In bowling, India’s Harshit Rana, New Zealand’s Matt Henry, West Indies’ Jaden Seales and England’s Adil Rashid are there. Seales has taken 27 wickets in 12 matches, Henry has taken 31 wickets in 13 matches, Harshit Rana has taken 20 wickets in 11 matches and Adil Rashid has taken 30 wickets in 15 matches.
