In his interview to Ent Live, Musician Shamir Tandon told that he never drinks tea, he has always been drinking coffee. Regarding his film connection, he told that he is from a middle class family and at the time when he wanted to enter the industry, he used to feel scared when the name of the industry kept coming up with underworld. Then he did MBA and did a corporate job and grew very quickly and became a CEO. After a long time, he started working in the industry following his passion and then became a full time musician and he is very happy for this achievement. Shamir told that it was quite risky to leave the corporate field and come into it and start again from the preparatory stage. He further told that there should be some principles and ethics in whatever field you are working. While discussing the lyrics, he said that they are very important and he always tries to keep more lyrical content in his songs. Describing both Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle as his ideals, he shared his experience of working with Asha Bhosle, how Asha ji recorded the song for his first film Page 3. Shamir said about the remix songs that it is better if we do not touch some songs and leave them as they are. In our new project on Kishor Kumar, he has revived it while maintaining its soul. He told that while doing this project, he was very afraid that he might do something improper. Then he shared how Asha ji used to come to the studio before time because she used to smell that environment. Shamir told that you should keep music as a companion if that skill is within you. Talking about passion, he said that how far you have to take your passion, it is a personal call, whether you want to take risk or stay in the safety net, its totally up to you. But if you want to create a legacy then you will have to take risk.
