1. Brihat Samhita (Varahamihira)
In the Chapter on Planetary Transits of the Brihat Samhita, it is said that when Saturn enters the water element zodiac (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), there are sea and aquatic disasters, volatility, and global power changes.
Shloka:
“Shani: Samudre if weapon, Tada Mahati Warivrishtir Bhavati.”
Meaning- If Saturn transmits in water zodiac, then rainfall is high, sea trade is affected, and disasters related to water. When Saturn was in Pisces in 1963-66, incidents of storms, floods and cyclones were seen.
2. Faldipika
It is described in the Effects of Saturn of Faldipika that when Saturn is located in Pisces, the global judicial system, administrative reforms and spiritual activities increase.
Shloka:
“Shani: Gurupathe if wealth, religious constituency, Rajasatta change
Meaning- When Saturn transits in the zodiac sign of Guru (Sagittarius or Pisces), there is major changes in religion, justice and administration, change, and corruption can increase.
(Saturn is a factor of justice and Pisces sign is a symbol of spirituality and policy reforms. The establishment of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the European Union (EU) was formed during 1993-96 (previous Shani Pisces Gocker).
3. Small Parashari (Parashar Muni)
According to the small Parashari Granth, transit in the water element of Saturn leads to global war, natural disasters and power struggles.
Shloka:
“Shani: Jalarshau situated, Nrnam Mahtam Yudhdhan, Kshetani Vikas, Jaladoshshcha Jayate.”
Meaning- When Saturn is located in water zodiac (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), there are damage related to war, agriculture and water related crises. It is clear from this verse that Saturn’s transit in Pisces can give rise to war and disasters. 1933–35 (the rise of Hitler and the beginning of World War II) and 1963–66 (Indo-Pak War) occurred during this transit.
4. Brihad Jatak (Varahamihira)

“Shani: Jalarshau situated, Dharmasano or Nutanadharmotapatti:”

Meaning- When Saturn is in Pisces, then the working class has difficulties, industries are obstructed, and workers have to face crisis. In the past, the unemployment rate in many countries had increased during 1933-35 and 1993-96 (Saturn Mean Gochar). In 2025-28, there is a possibility of global recession and job loss.
