There was one such film which was made in a budget of 10 crores but flopped badly. This film is Shanti Kranti. The film was released in 1991. The film was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Three superstars came to see
The film had three superstars like Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna and Juhi Chawla. Actor V Ravichandran produced the film directly. Rajinikanth played the lead role in Hindi and Tamil. Nagarjuna played the lead role in the Telugu version and V Ravichandran in the Kannada version. Juhi Tawla, Khushboo and Anant Nag appeared in important roles.
This film was released on Grand Scale. Ravichandran had imposed the deposit of his life in this film. He had taken 50 acres of land on rent to shoot climax and spent the money at large level. The film was shot in 1988 and the film was completed in 2 years.
Peace revolution flopped badly
At that time Shanti Kranti became an expansive film. The film overtook Ajuba’s budget (8 crore). The film was released in 1991 and flopped. It flopped badly at the box office. The film did not get good response in any language. The total collection was only 8 crores. The film budget was also not able to recover. After this film, Ravichandran became a banker. However, he did not give up courage. After many ups and downs, he worked in films.
