Sharmila Tagore on Bcci Retiring Pataudi Trophy: Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, father of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, was a veteran cricketer. The pride of Pataudi, known as Tiger, can be gauged from the fact that his name trophy was started. Which now wants to retire BCCI and on this the reaction of his wife Sharmila Tagore has come out.
The ‘Pataudi Trophy’ began in 2007 in memory of the first Test series to be played between India and England in 1932. According to reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) are thinking about retiring this trophy. In such a situation, it seems that Sharmila Tagore has not liked this much.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Sharmila Tagore revealed that he had received a letter from ECB. It states that they are retiring the Pataudi Trophy. Sharmila said, ‘I have not heard anything from him, but ECB has sent a letter to Saif that he is retiring the trophy. If the BCCI wants to remember the legacy of Tiger or not, they have to decide.
