Pahalgam terror attack: After the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, India has taken tough decisions against Pakistan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear that the culprits of the Pahalgam attack will be given a big punishment with their imagination. All the opposition parties including the Congress, Samajwadi Party are questioning the intelligence failure regarding the Pahalgam terror attack. Amidst these questions, senior Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor has given a big statement.
‘We have an example of Israel’
Speaking to news agency ANI in Thiruvananthapuram, he said about the Pahalgam attack on Sunday (April 27, 2025) that obviously there was no complete intelligence information. Surely something has been failed. He further said that but we also have an example of Israel, whose intelligence agency is considered the most powerful in the world and all believe that they have the most modern technology.
He further said that despite all this, there was a stunning attack in Israel on October 7, 2 years ago. I think the way Israel is waiting to demand accountability by the end of war, similarly I think we should also look at the current crisis and then demand accountability from the government.

‘No one can have 100 percent strong intelligence information’
Shashi Tharoor said that any country can never have 100 percent strong intelligence information. We will never know about many terrorist attacks that were successfully thwarted. We only know about the attacks that we failed to fail. This is a normal thing in any country. I agree that there were failures, but our main focus should not be on them right now. The Congress MP believes that we should not raise questions yet.
