IND vs NZ 3rd ODI Highlights: New Zealand has defeated India by 41 runs in the third ODI match. This is the first time that New Zealand has come to India and defeated Team India in an ODI series. The third ODI match was played at Holkar Stadium, Indore, in which the Kiwi team batted first and scored 337 runs. Team India, chasing the huge target, was all out for 296 runs. Virat Kohli played a century inning of 124 runs in the match.
New Zealand won the ODI series in India for the first time
For the first time in the history of ODI cricket, New Zealand has come to India and defeated Team India in an ODI series. The biggest contribution in this historic victory was made by Daryl Mitchell, who scored centuries against Team India in the second and third matches also. Mitchell played an inning of 137 runs in Indore ODI, along with him Glenn Phillips also batted, who scored 106 runs. This is the same New Zealand team, which came to India in the year 2024 and gave a clean sweep to Team India in the Test series.
Virat could not win
While chasing the target of 338 runs, the Indian team lost 4 wickets till the score of 71. It is very difficult to make a comeback when there is a big target in front. Virat brought India back into the match by making a partnership of 88 runs with Nitish Kumar Reddy. Rohit Sharma scored only 11 runs, while captain Shubhman Gill, who had scored half-centuries in the last two matches, could score 23 runs. Shreyas Iyer scored 3 runs and KL Rahul scored only one run.
Ravindra Jadeja is continuously flopping, this time the team needed a big innings from him, but only 12 runs came off his bat. Harshit Rana definitely played an inning of 52 runs and took Team India closer to victory. He added 99 runs with Virat Kohli. After Harshit’s dismissal, all the hopes of the Indian team were pinned on Virat Kohli. He was also out in the 46th over on the score of 124.
