ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Final: The final of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 is being played between India and South Africa today i.e. on 2 November 2025 at DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. Team India’s star opener Shefali Verma may have missed scoring her century in the final, but she has made a historic record in her name. By playing a brilliant inning of 87 runs, Shefali has made the highest score by an Indian batsman in the Women’s ODI World Cup final. However, Shefali could not achieve the record of becoming the first Indian cricketer to score a century in the final.

Indian team’s explosive opening batsman Shefali Verma played a brilliant inning of 87 runs with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes in the final match of the World Cup against South Africa. Shefali gave a strong start to Team India and along with Smriti Mandhana made an excellent partnership of 104 runs for the first wicket. Shefali had put South Africa under pressure with her aggressive batting, only then she was caught by Sune Luus on the ball of Ayabong Khaka.
Smriti missed a half century in the final
Star opener Smriti Mandhana missed her 35th half-century in the final match of the Women’s World Cup. He gave a strong start to Team India with his batting and scored an inning of 45 runs in 58 balls with the help of 8 fours. Smriti was caught out by wicketkeeper Sinalo Jafta on the ball of Chloe Tryon in the 17th over.
