Shimla: ‘Friday prayers will not be allowed in the disputed Sanjauli Mosque’, warns Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti


The controversy over Sanjauli Masjid located in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh is deepening. Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti has now issued a warning against this mosque which has been declared illegal by the court. On Thursday (November 27), the committee said that no one will be allowed to offer Friday prayers in the mosque on November 28.

Along with this, Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti has appealed to the Muslim community not to go to that place to maintain communal harmony.

Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti will hold a meeting with the administration

The committee members have been protesting in the mosque for the last 10 days. In this sequence, ‘Shastra Puja’ was performed in the mosque on Thursday. Committee co-convenor Vijay Sharma said that his organization is waiting for the meeting with the administration on November 29, after which they will decide their next step.

‘Sanatan Samaj will not back down from raising arms’

Apart from this, the leaders of the Sangharsh Committee have directly warned the district administration. It has been said not to cheat Hindus. The committee has alleged that the government is patronizing illegal activities.

Positive results are expected from the meeting to be held on November 29, but the committee has made it clear that Sanatan Samaj will not shy away from taking up arms for its demands.

Demand to implement court order

The leaders of Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti say that they are only appealing to follow the orders of the court. He told the people of Muslim community to offer Namaz in their homes or in any other mosque, just do not come to Sanjauli Masjid. Let us tell you, this tough stance of the committee and worshiping weapons before the important meeting to be held on 29th November is further increasing the tension in the Sanjauli illegal mosque case. What action will be taken by the administration in such a situation remains to be seen.
