Maharashtra News: On Tuesday (June 17) in Maharashtra’s Nashik district, Uddhav Thackeray -led Shiv Sena (UBT) and Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) suffered a major setback. Many senior leaders and officials of both parties left the party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. This development has come to light at a time when speculation about the possible union of Uddhav and Raj Thackeray is intensified.
In fact, on Tuesday, senior former MLA of Shiv Sena (UBT) Babonrao Gholap and former Nashik’s Deputy Leader Sudhakar Badgujar joined the BJP. Apart from this, Ashok Murtadak, considered close to MNS chief Raj Thackeray and former Nashik mayor, also joined the BJP.
Uddhav Thackeray expelled from the party
Let us know that in the first week of June, Badgujar met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Expressing displeasure over this, Uddhav Thackeray had expelled him from Shiv Sena (UBT) on charges of ‘anti -party activities’ two days later. However, local BJP MLA Seema Hire has opposed to include a serious criminal case against Budgujar, to include him in the BJP.
So left party
At the same time, Babonrao Gholp described the ‘disabled behavior’ in UBT as the reason for leaving the party. Ashok Murtadak said that he has decided to join the BJP for the development of Nashik, especially keeping in mind the Nashik Kumbh to be held in 2027.
Entry of UBT leaders in Shinde faction also
Here, the Shiv Sena led by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has also shocked the Uddhav faction. On Tuesday, some former corporators of Shiv Sena (UBT) have joined the Shinde faction from Nashik. All these leaders joined the Shinde faction in the morning, which makes it clear that the wave of change in Nashik’s politics has started.
