A conflict between two senior state government officials posted at Karnataka Bhavan in Delhi has created a big political controversy. The confrontation between the two officers at Karnataka Bhavan took place on Tuesday (July 22, 2025). It included Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah’s Special Duty Officer (SDO) and Assistant Resident Commissioner C. Mohan Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister and Karnataka Congress state president DK Shivkumar’s SDO H. Anjanaiya.
Sdo H. Anjaniah complained in the case
According to an official complaint filed by H. Anjaniah, the dispute between officials in Karnataka Bhavan in Delhi had increased so much that SDO C. Mohan Kumar had threatened to even kill him. The entire dispute took place in the presence of all other employees in Karnataka Bhavan. During this, a senior officer Pramila was also present.
SDO H. Anjaniah has made a formal complaint about the case to Resident Commissioner of Karnataka Bhavan, Imkongla Jamir and Karnataka Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh. In the complaint, he has accused C. Mohan Kumar of harassment, misuse of his rights and repeatedly causing problems. He has also demanded criminal action in this matter.
Karnataka Chief Secretary sought report
On the complaint of SDO Anjaniah, Karnataka Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh has taken the matter seriously. He has ordered an official inquiry into the matter and has also sought a report on this from the Resident Commissioner.
After all, why the dispute between the two officers
SDO H. Anjaniah alleged in his written complaint C. Mohan Kumar not only used abusive language, but also threatened to kill him, which he has described as a direct attack on his dignity. He said, “He threatened to kill me in front of everyone in the office chamber, if there is an accident with me, C. Mohan Kumar will be responsible for this.”
C. Mohan Kumar dismissed the allegations made by H. Anjaniah
The allegations made by H. Anjaniah in this case have been rejected by SDO C. Mohan Kumar. In contrast, Mohan Kumar has accused Anjania of indiscipline and misbehavior. C. Mohan Kumar also cited several complaints already made against H. Anjaniah on behalf of other employees of Karnataka Bhavan.
It is noteworthy that this conflict between the officials is also showing the inner political tussle between Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar.
