Shahzad, who worked on the new version of the film, said that the new version is six minutes longer than the film released in theaters on 15 August 1975.

He said, “This time there will be some additional scenes. We want to keep it secret … We have tried to work as far as possible with original scenes and nothing has been cut. To commemorate the completion of 50 years of ‘Sholay’, its screening will be held on June 27 in Magigor under the open sky.
