However, a few days ago, several media reports claimed that Shreyas Iyer would be the next captain of India in ODIs. But on Saturday, October 4, all these news came out just rumors. Iyer was made vice -captain, not captain in the ODI team.

Shreyas Iyer did not find space in T20 team once again

Shreyas Iyer has not been included in the T20 team once again. He has not found a place in the T20 series team against Australia. Earlier, Shreyas Iyer was also ignored in the 2025 Asia Cup. Iyer performed brilliantly with the bat in IPL 2025. He had scored more than 600 runs in the last season of IPL. Still they are not getting a place in T20.

Rohit Sharma captained captaincy

The BCCI’s decision before the team’s announcement against Australia made everyone happy. Suddenly, Rohit Sharma was captained and handed over to Shubman Gill. Rohit Sharma won the 2025 Champions Trophy to India in March this year. Even after this, he was removed from the captaincy. However, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been included in India’s 15 -member team for the ODI series against Australia.
