
Indian Test team captain Shubman Gill has created history. Gill has been awarded the ICC Player of the Month Award of July. During this, Gill has broken the record of Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam.

Gill has been rewarded with tremendous performance in England. Gill hit 754 runs in England at an average of around 76. Which included four centuries. Out of Gill’s 754 runs, 567 runs came only in the month of July.

During this, three centuries came out of Gill’s bat. In the month of July, Gill hit 430 runs in the Edgbaston Test. Gill scored 269 runs in the first innings and 161 runs in the second innings.

Gill won the ICC Player of the Month Award thanks to his brilliant batting. With this, Gill has become the player to win the award most times in history.

Gill has now won the ICC Player of the Month Award four times. Earlier, Gill won the award in February 2025, January 2023 and September 2023.

Gill broke Babur’s record during this period. Babur has won this award thrice. Babur won this award in the year 2021 April, March 2022 and August 2023.
