The second Test between India and West Indies is to be played in Delhi from October 10. Before that, Indian captain Shubman Gill has talked about the importance of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the ODI team. Gill said that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have given huge victories to the Indian team and the team needs them. He also praised the leadership of Rohit Sharma.
Let us tell you that Shubman Gill has also become the captain of the Indian ODI team. He will captain Team India in the 3-match ODI series against Australia from 19-25 October.
Shubman Gill spoke on Rohit-Virat
Shubman Gill said, “Rohit Bhai’s calm nature and the way he creates an atmosphere of friendship within the team, I also want to do the same. It will be a big challenge for me to live up to my own expectations. I want to win the ICC Trophy by playing in all formats.”
On the ODI future of Rohit Sharma and Virar Kohli, Shubman Gill said, “Both have won a lot of matches for the Indian team. Very few players have such talent and experience. We need both of them.”
India is ahead 1-0 in the test series
The Indian team had defeated West Indies by a margin of innings and 140 runs in the first Test played in Ahmedabad. In that match, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja scored centuries in the same innings for India. Now the second test will be played in Delhi from tomorrow i.e. 10th October. Before the second Test, head coach Gautam Gambhir hosted a dinner party at his home in Delhi, in which Team India and BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla also attended.
