Shubman Gill’s big statement after defeating England in the fifth Test- ‘This morning of this team …’

The Indian team, which is going through a change of change, never gave up with the thrilling last day played at The Oval in the five -match Test series against England and captain Shubman Gill said on Monday that the same combination is the identity of his team.

After the retirement of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli and in the absence of senior players like Mohammad Shami, it was a big series for Gill and his team. Even Jasprit Bumrah was not available for all matches, so that the team had to change the bowling combination in every match.

India looked completely disappointed on the fourth day of the last Test here. Harry Brook and Joe Root kept England towards achieving a record target, but Mohammad Siraj and the famous Krishna gave the visiting team a strong comeback.

Even on Monday morning, the situation was not in India’s favor but Gill & Company managed to win a stunning victory and made the series equal.

Gill said, “What we did this morning show what this team is. Around 70 runs, seven wickets in hand (fourth day). Most teams of the world do not give themselves a chance in the way Brook and Route were playing. ”

He said, “This team believes that whenever we get a chance that we move forward and we were talking the same after the Brook’s dismissal and then we got Bethel’s initial wicket, it was our opportunity, let’s try to pressurize him.”

The Indian captain said, “When you have a bowler like Siraj, your work becomes very easy as a captain. You just stand on the field and you just want to appreciate their bowling. ”

The entire series saw ups and downs and both teams fought with their lives. As the series moved forward, Gill enhanced as a batsman and captain.

Gill said, “There are many moments when you think this journey is meaningful, the moment we saw in the morning.” He said, “Obviously every match or every time you go to bat, you want to perform well, you want to score a century, but unfortunately sports or life does not work like this. You should overcome the ups and downs of life and try to be balanced all the time.
