Sikandar box office collection: Salman Khan’s Alexander Finli came to theaters on 30 March. There was already a lot of excitement in the audience, reviewers and films related experts regarding the film released on the occasion of Eid. However, by looking at the opening day collection, all the speculations that were made about the film seem to be proving wrong.
Salman Khan had many expectations from Alexander and the cases in which expectations were reinforced. So let’s know that AR Murugadoss’s film has failed in 5 cases.
Salman could not break his film Tiger 3 record
Salman Khan’s 2023 film Tiger 3 was the biggest opening (43 crore) film of his career. It was expected that Salman Khan would break this record and move forward, but this could not happen.
Alexander could not become the biggest opener of 2025
Out of the films released this year, the top 5 opening films were game changer (54 crores), Chhava (33.10 crore), Vidamuyarchi (27 crore), dacoit Maharaj (25.35 crore) and Sankrantiki Vastunam (23 crore). However, Alexander broke the record of many of them but failed to break the record of the game changer.
Water also turned on hopes taking 50 crores opening
It was expected that Salman’s Alexander would get the benefit of festivals like Sunday holiday, Eid and Gudi Padwa. Fans hoped that the film would cross the 50 crore mark on the first day, but this could not happen.
The magic of Jugalbandi of South-North did not run
The film is produced by South Director AR Murugados. He is also liked by Hindi audience and South films due to Ghajini and Holiday, and other Indian languages including Tamil, Telugu. In such a situation, it was believed that what Salman’s stardom and the directors of South do what they do together will benefit on its business, but that too did not happen.
Good film was promised, review got bad
From Salim Khan to Salman Khan and the film director also praised Alexander. But when the reviews of the film came, they turned out to be very bad. In the review of ABP News, the film was given only one star.
However, it will also be assumed that the film has earned above 30 crores on the first day and cannot call it a bad opening because it will increase in Eid holidays. But still the film which is expected to expect Rs 50 crore is making it difficult to digest even a little less.
