Sikandar box office collection: More criticisms started after the release of Salman Khan’s Alexander before the release of the film. The film did not get love from the reviewers nor the positive word of mouth of the public.

However, the opening of the film was not so bad. Alexander earned 26 crores on the first day and then 29 crores on the occasion of Eid, which can be considered a good collection, but for some other star and not for Salman Khan. Therefore, the film was also considered weak in terms of box office collection.

Alexander’s worldwide box office collection

Alexander has earned worldwide 197.4 crore rupees in 9 days. On the ninth day, the film’s earnings in India have been around 2 crores. That is, the film has earned 200 crores. This is the same amount as the budget of the film. In such a situation, the question arises whether the film is a hit or a flop? So let’s know what the figures say.

Alexander earned how many crores from digital rights

According to Koimoi’s report, Netflix has bought Alexander’s OTT rights for 85 crores. So the musical rights of the film were sold for Rs 30 crore and satellite rights for 50 crores. In this context, the film earned total 165 crore rupees by selling just rights.

How much has Alexander’s total earnings?

If you add the earnings made by selling Alexander’s worldwide collection and rights, then it is about Rs 365 crore, including Rs 200 crore and 165 crores. The film is still in cinema hall and will earn something or the other, that is, it remains to be connected to several crores of rupees. However, how much this collection will be will be known only after the final data.

So why Alexander is being called a flop?

If you look at the difference between the budget and the earnings, then the film has withdrawn 182.5 percent of the budget. That is, this film is not a loss deal for the makers at all. Despite this, the reason for the film counting in flops is Bhaijaan’s stardom itself.

The first thing was expected from the film that it would take many times the budget out of the cinema hall but it did not happen. The second reason was Salman Khan’s 2019 film India earned Rs 42 crore and Tiger 3 of 2023 earned Rs 44.5 crore. But Alexander could not even reach equal to these films.

Apart from this, neither the film broke the record of Rs 339.16 crore of Tiger Zinda Hai, which came 8 years ago. Let me tell you that this film was Salman’s highest grossing film. It is clear that if we look at the earnings, then there is no loss of the makers. Yes, just the benefit has not been done.
