Singer B Praak has received death threats. The person making the threat has demanded a huge ransom of Rs 10 crore and has clearly said that if the money is not paid within a week, B Praak will be ‘razed to the ground’. After this threat, an atmosphere of fear and anxiety has been created in the entire music industry.
Threat reached through friend Dilnur Bablu
This threat was not given directly to B Praak but through his friend and Punjabi singer Dilnoor Bablu. Dilnur Bablu lives in One Rise Society Sector 99, Mohali. After receiving the threat, Dilnur immediately lodged a complaint with the police and informed about the entire matter.
Missed calls and voice messages from foreign numbers
According to the complaint, on January 5, at 3:11 pm, Dilnur Bablu received two missed calls from a foreign number on his phone. The next day i.e. on January 6, at 2:24 pm, a call came from the same number which Dilnur did not receive. After this, he received a voice message in which the person making the threat identified himself as ‘Arzoo Bishnoi’ and asked B Praak to arrange for Rs 10 crore.
One week ultimatum and threat to life
In the voice message, the person threatening said that he has been given a week’s time to pay the money. If the money is not given then B Praak and his associates will be caused fatal harm. He said, ‘No matter which country they go to, if they don’t come with us they will raze them to the ground.’ Dilnur told that he and B Praak often go out for shows and shooting, hence there is a threat to their safety and they are afraid to leave the house.
Association with Lawrence Bishnoi gang
Arzoo Bishnoi is considered to be a notorious member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang who is currently hiding abroad. It is feared that this threat may be related to Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Dilnur Bablu has handed over the screenshots and voice recording of the call to the police and has also demanded security. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police have started investigation. In the past too, the name of Lawrence Bishnoi gang has come up in many such cases where businessmen and celebrities have been targeted for ransom.
