Water crisis in singrauli: Singrauli, the last district of Madhya Pradesh state, is recorded in the pages of history. It is said that Singrauli is the only district that connects four states, but this district also has its own problems, affected by the common people, about 35 km from the district headquarters, Jogiani village of Baidhan block located about 35 km from the district headquarters is far from development.

There is no road to reach the tribal area of this village of the district. People come here with the help of farm and footpath. Hundreds of people of the tribal community here, for many years, have quenched the thirst of their dried throat by extracting water from the pit of the drain, which has been craving for water for many years. In this area with a population of about 150, families of Gond and Baiga tribe are being forced to drink dirty water of pits.

Question mark on the claims of the government
The situation is so bad that there is no hand pump in this area nor any other source for water, for many decades, people of this area have been forced to drink contaminated water near the drain, which is threatening the health of the people. On the other hand, the priorities of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav have to end the water crisis in the state and providing clean and clean drinking water to the residents of the state is also the resolve of the CM, but in Singrauli district, such pictures have come out, which have not only put a question mark on the claims of the government, but have also opened the indifference and negligence of the government machinery.

Running their work with dirty water
In the scorching sun, hundreds of women and men come out of the village with empty utensils in their hands, reach this pit about 1 km away and then tie a rope in the bucket and drain water from the pit and take them to their home. The residents of the village, who are struggling with drinking water crisis, say that they are forced to drink this dirty water, there is neither hand pump nor any other means in the area for water, due to which the villagers have been running their work with this dirty water for many years.

Rural District Magistrate has gone to office with complaints
The tribals here say that leaders here come here only to ask for votes. Big and big give them assurance, but the problem is not solved. The villagers have gone to the office several times with their complaint, from there they get nothing but assurance, now it will be seen how soon the promises made by the administration land on the ground. Lack of basic facilities like water in remote and needy villages like Jogiani villages is not only a matter of concern, but also raises the question that how long the tribal community will remain a victim of neglect like this?
