Shaya Hope and Captain Roston Chase partnership for 48 runs and pushed the team forward towards the score. Shaya Hope scored 26 and Roston Chase scored 24 runs. Meanwhile, Justin Greaves’s 32 -run innings reached the West Indies with a score of 160.
Siraj and Bumrah caused havoc
Mohammad Siraj and Jaspreet Bumrah took 7 wickets in the first innings. Within the first 12 overs, he dropped 4 wickets of the West Indies. Apart from him, Kuldeep Yadav took 2 and Washington Sundar took one wicket.
After him, KL Rahul became a rock for Team India. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul shared a salute of 68 runs, but Jaiswal was dismissed for 36 runs. Sai Sudarshan again got a chance on number-3, but this time also success was not achieved. Sudarshan was able to score only 7 runs. By the end of the first day’s play, Shubman Gill and KL Rahul have partnered 31 runs. Rahul is playing 53 runs, while Gill has scored 18 runs.
