The Special Investigation Team (SIT), who is investigating the case of the sudden death of Famous Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, has arrested music and musician Shekhar Jyoti Goswami taking big action. Goswami was in the group who went on a yacht trip in Singapore with Zubeen. Meanwhile, Zubeen died suddenly.
What are the charges against musician Goswami?
Goswami was detained on Thursday morning for questioning and then he was later arrested. However, the authorities have not yet revealed which allegations Goswami has been arrested. Whether or not formal allegations will be made against him, it has not been revealed yet. At the same time, according to media reports, the investigation is moving forward with many clues, because Investigators are trying to re -connect the series of incidents, which led to a sudden death of Garg.
SIT can take many people into custody
The Assam government has constituted a 10 -member SIT under the chairmanship of Special Director General of Police MP Gupta to investigate the death of Zubine. Meanwhile, Entrepreneur and cultural activist Shyamakunu Mahanta is also under the scanner of SIT. He has allegedly expressed his desire to surrender by contacting CID. Officials say that their arrest may be done soon. Apart from this, several members of the Singapore Assam Association can also be detained in connection with the alleged irregularities associated with the case. Officials have indicated that more people can be detained when the investigation increases.
Zubeen Garg died on 19 September
Please tell that Zubin Garg died in an accident on 19 September during the scuba diving in Singapore. On Tuesday, Assam’s ‘favorite Rockstar’ was cremated with state honors and 21 cannon salutes. After a second post -mortem was performed to dismiss the possibility of any kind of disturbance in his death, he was cremated at Kamarkuchi, the outskirts of Guwahati.
Initial reports reported that Garg died during scuba diving. However, his wife Garima Saikia Garg cleared that Sinhar had a tour while swimming on the island, and dismissed the claims of the scuba diving incident. He said that he was wearing a life jacket during his first swimming with colleagues, including Jubin, his drummer Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and manager Siddharth Sharma.
After returning to the shore, Zubeen went for swimming for the second time, during which he had a tour and was later declared dead at Singapore General Hospital at 2.30 pm.
