Nitish cabinet meeting: A cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday (June 17, 2025) under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In this meeting, 20 important proposals have been approved. Rules related to the education department were approved, under which information officers, librarians, PRT will be appointed in secondary and higher secondary schools of the state.
At the same time, the transfer of land from 10.49 crore has been approved for construction of metro station under Patna Metro Project. The development of six small airports was also approved under the Sports Department, Revenue Advisory Committee, Hotel Construction, In-Building Telecom Facilities and Udaan Scheme. Small airports will be developed in Madhubani, Veerpur, Munger, Valminagar, Muzaffarpur and Saharsa.
Industrial sector will be developed in Nawada, Bihar
In Nawada, 70.05 acres of land was transferred to the Department of Industries so that the industrial area could be developed there. The service of retired 1717 soldiers of the Indian Army working in the Special Occupation Force (SAF) of Bihar Police has been further extended for one year (2025-26). Farmers will get a reasonable price for crops and increase income from 2025-26, government procurement of pulses and oilseeds in Bihar will be started at the minimum support price.
New law passes regarding recruitment and service rules of coaches
Approval has been received to build a 5-star hotel on the land of Pataliputra Ashok, Hotel in Patna. This project will be in the PPP model. The new law 2025 has been passed in Rajgir’s International Cricket Stadium and State Sports Academy regarding the recruitment and service rules of coaches. At the same time, for the purpose of providing relief to farmers in drought -hit areas, Rs 2.58 crore has been approved for recharge studies of five major rivers, Son, Gandak, Kosi, Morhar and Punpun.
