On 30 September 2022, there was magic at the Indian box office and this magic was of actor Rishabh Shetty. Rishabh Shetty brought a film that had not known how many big films dashed. The name of the film is ‘Kantara’. The film was made in a budget of 16 crores and when it was released, no one thought that something like this was going to happen. In one stroke, he reached the South Superstar category. The audience was mad to watch the film.
Kantara’s box office collection
According to Koimoi’s report, the lifetime collection of Kantara at the domestic box office was 309.64 crores. There was 363.82 crore gross collection. The film earned overseas 44 crores. This was an all time blockbuster film.
The film had collected 162.09 crores in Kannada, 84.77 crore in Hindi, 42.38 crores in Telugu, 7.29 crore in Tamil and 13.11 crores in Malayalam. The film proved to be an all time blockbuster in Kannada and blockbast in Hindi and Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
The film profited 1831.25 percent. The rights of the Hindi version of the film were sold for 7.5 crores and the film gave a strong profit of 981.33 percent.
KGF: Chapter 2 came in April 2022 before Kantara, which was the highest profit giving film after Kovid. The film gave a profit of 759 percent. But when Kantara came, all the records were left. Kantara 1’s digital rights were sold for Rs 125 crore for Amazon Prime.
Please tell that Rishabh Shetty was in the lead role in the film. He only directed it. The film featured Saptami Gowda, Achueth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, Suchan Shetty and Kishore Kumar.
Trailer of Kantara 2 launched
Kantara was such a big success that preparations for the second part of the film started. Now the trailer of the second part of the film is going to be released on 22 September 2025. The first part of the film where it was made in a budget of only 16 crores. Now there are reports that the budget for the second part has been increased by Rs 125 crore. Hrithik Roshan, the trailer of the Hindi version of the film, is going to launch.
