Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has finally broken her silence after the breakdown of her marriage. Smriti clearly says that there is no other thing that she likes more than cricket. He told at the Amazon Smbhav Summit 2025 how wearing the Team India jersey is a matter of greatest pride for him. Only last month, Smriti Mandhana was a part of India’s 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup winning team.
Smriti Mandhana broke her silence
Smriti Mandhana said at the Amazon Smbhav Summit 2025, “I don’t think there is anything I love more than cricket. Wearing the Team India jersey is the biggest source of inspiration. It doesn’t matter what you are going through, that one thought brings you out the most.”
Mandhana further said, “I have always had a passion for batting. People around me might not have understood it, but the only thing running in my mind was to become world champion.”
Smriti Mandhana was recently in the news for her marriage with Bollywood music composer Palash Muchhal. They were going to get married on 23rd November, but recently both of them surprised their fans by confirming the end of their marriage.
Also spoke on the historic victory of the World Cup
India won the ODI World Cup for the first time by defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. Smriti Mandhana had made an important contribution in making India the world champion by scoring 434 runs in the entire tournament.
On the World Cup win, Smriti Mandhana said, “This trophy is the result of the goal we were fighting for. I have been playing for more than a decade and many things did not go my way. Before the final, we had thought about that moment again and again.”
