World Champions Got State Government Prize Money: Indian cricket team has created history by winning the Women’s World Cup 2025. Team India had received prize money of about Rs 40 crore from the International Cricket Council (ICC) after becoming the world champion. At the same time, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also gave a reward of Rs 51 crore to the players and staff members of the Indian team.
After India won the World Cup, many state governments are honoring the players from their states included in India’s World Cup team. Team India’s players are being given crores of rupees as prize money along with government jobs. State governments have given prize money worth crores of rupees to many players including Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodriguez, Shri Charani, Renuka Thakur and Radha Yadav.
Mr. Charani got a government job
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met Team India’s star player and left-arm spin bowler Shri Charani. Andhra Pradesh government gave Rs 2.5 crore to Mr. Charani for becoming world champion. Along with this, a plot of 1000 square yards was also gifted. Chandrababu Naidu has also announced to give a government job to Mr. Charani as a Group-1 officer in the state.

Maharashtra government gave Rs 2.25 crore
The Maharashtra government has given Rs 2.25 crore as reward to three players of the Indian team, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, star batsman Jemimah Rodriguez and left-arm spinner Radha Yadav. Team India’s coach Amol Majumdar is also a resident of Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis government in Maharashtra gave a check of Rs 22.50 lakh to Amol Majumdar.

Kranti Gaur also got honor
Indian women’s cricket team’s medium pacer Kranti Gaur has been honored by the Madhya Pradesh government. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced a reward of Rs 1 crore for Kranti Gaur. CM Mohan Yadav also honored the parents of Kranti Gaur.

Himachal government gave reward to Renuka Thakur
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has announced an amount of Rs 1 crore to Team India’s ace bowler Renuka Thakur for her better bowling in the Women’s World Cup and for being a part of India’s world champion team. Along with this, Himachal government has also promised to give a government job to Renuka. CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that Renuka Thakur will be given a warm welcome when she comes to Himachal Pradesh. After Team India won the World Cup 2025, Himachal CM had told Renuka on phone and congratulated her for the victory.
