A big relief news has come for Mandhana family. Srinivas, father of Indian women’s cricket team’s star player Smriti Mandhana, has been discharged from the hospital. Smriti’s father was admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack on Sunday. Due to a medical emergency in the family, Smriti and her groom-to-be Palash Muchhal postponed their wedding scheduled for Sunday. Now doctors have declared Srinivas ‘out of danger’ and have discharged him from the hospital.
According to a report by India TV, the hospital management has said that the condition of Smriti’s father is now completely stable. Doctors also conducted angiography of Srinivas, in which no blockage was found and hence he was discharged from the hospital.
The picture is still not clear regarding the next date of marriage of Smriti and Palash Muchhal. Since Srinivas’s hospitalization, multiple updates from different members of both the families confirmed that the wedding ceremony has been postponed indefinitely.
What did Smriti’s manager Tuhin Mishra tell?
Smriti’s manager Tuhin Mishra had told, “This morning, when Smriti’s father was having breakfast, his health deteriorated. We waited for a while thinking that he would recover, but when the condition worsened, we called an ambulance and took him to the hospital. Smriti is very close to her father. She has decided that the wedding will be postponed indefinitely until he recovers. She wants to see her father fine and then get married.”
Fans are upset
However, what is troubling the fans is that Smriti has deleted all the pictures and videos of the pre-wedding ceremonies from her Instagram account. Even her Team India teammate Jemimah Rodrigues and others have deleted some videos of various pre-wedding ceremonies shared on social media. The family has not yet confirmed the revised date of the wedding, leaving some fans confused.
