APAAR Card: Many documents are necessary for the people in the country. Now the government has made a new card mandatory for small children also. The name of this card is Apar Card. 95.77 lakh children studying in Anganwadi centers across the country will now get their Apar ID card. Children aged three to six years will be included in this. First Aadhaar will be created for the children and based on that Apar ID will be prepared.
This ID will become the permanent educational record of the children. In which every information related to studies will be recorded. With this identification number, all the activities of the children can be seen digitally and the benefits of government schemes will also be available easily. What is Apar Card?
Apar Card is a unique digital ID for children. Which has been created to keep all the information related to education in one place. In this, which Anganwadi or school the child is in, his age, vaccination, study progress, transition records, examination results and other important information remain digitally safe. With this, the complete records of children can be seen immediately without any papers. The card is valid throughout the country. Therefore, the child should shift anywhere. Data related to his education can be easily tracked.

How will Apar ID be created?
Directorate of Integrated Child Development Services has prepared a separate section of Apar ID on Nutrition Tracker. After the Aadhaar of every child is created, Apar ID will be downloaded from the Nutrition Tracker app. More than one lakh Anganwadi workers are being trained to prepare this ID. The child’s name, date of birth, photo, ID number and other important information will be recorded in the card.

The government said that this ID will be useful everywhere from school admission to scholarship, health records and nutrition tracking. Under the Education Policy 2020, it is being linked to the National Digital Education Framework. So that even if children move from one place to another, their data remains safe and updated.
Why is Apar Card important?
Apar ID will become a 12 digit permanent identity for children. With this, the entire educational information of the child from pre-primary to higher education will be recorded at one place. Report cards, test results, vaccination data, health records and nutritional information will also be added to it. Enrollment will be easier if the school is changed and it will help in tracking the dropout children and bringing them back to studies. Providing benefits of government schemes will also become easier because the data of every child will be available in digital form. Even after leaving Anganwadi, this ID will remain active and the child will be able to use it throughout his life.
