‘Efforts to give notice before arrest’
He said that the matter was duly investigated and following the legal procedures, several attempts were made to give notice to the accused under Section 35 of BNSS, but every time she was found absconding. After this, the competent court issued an arrest warrant and the accused was arrested legally from Gurugram. After that, transit remand was taken according to the appropriate process of law by presenting it to the magistrate. Later, the accused was sent to judicial custody by the court.
The post said that the Kolkata Police has worked legally according to the procedure established by the law. The accused was not arrested for expressing patriotism, but legal action was taken to share objectionable materials promoting hatred among communities.
