The story of the famous Bhagwat storyteller Aniruddhacharya Maharaj of Vrindavan in Raxaul (East Champaran) is surrounded by controversies these days. This Bhagwat Katha is running from February 5 in the Raxaul airport complex located on the Indo-Nepal border. A huge crowd gathered during the Katha on the fourth day. As soon as Aniruddhacharya Maharaj reached the pandal, a large number of people started entering from the same gate. The police tried to control the crowd. But the situation worsened and in the end the police had to resort to lathi charge.
After this incident, Aniruddhacharya Maharaj’s attitude from the Katha stage was quite angry on the fifth day. He used sharp language in the audience and said objectionable words against Raxaul Municipal Council for removing toilets. He also said that no one’s father’s money has been invested in organizing the story and not even a single rupee has been taken from anyone. His statement caused huge anger among the local people.
Publicity spread through holding posters in the city
Local people and public representatives termed these allegations as false. Representatives of Raxaul Municipal Council said that publicity was done in the city for the event. Sanitation workers were deployed and arrangements for mobile toilets were also made. According to the Municipal Council, despite limited resources, employees and laborers were deployed continuously. At the same time, local leaders and youth claimed that they helped in organizing the event by collecting donations and cooperation from Raxaul and Birgunj area of Nepal.
Representatives of Raxaul Municipal Council said that the staff of Raxaul Municipal Corporation is small, only three mobile toilets were deployed for Bhagwat Katha event and claimed to have employed fifty laborers on the first day and 25 laborers continuously from the second day onwards. At the same time, publicity has been spread in the city through holding posters, the fee of which will be around Rs 2.5 lakh, it is being considered to be waived off in the city council meeting.
Not a single rupee of anyone’s father was involved in the story – Aniruddhacharya Maharaj
After showing the news of lathi charge by the same media, narrator Aniruddhacharya Maharaj took a dig and said in front of the devotees from the Katha stage that the national media is the one that spreads lies the most. The city council should be questioned whether toilets should be kept at the service of common people. He will not question why he was taken away, he will spread lies, the national channel person was lathicharged in Bhagwat Katha. Narrator Aniruddhacharya Maharaj said that not a single rupee has been taken from anyone’s father. Not a single rupee has been taken from anyone in organizing Bhagwat Katha.
Municipal Councilor Pati Raxaul Municipal Council Deepak Gupta said that what is the point of investigating the allegations of narrator Aniruddhacharya Maharaj. What was said in conversation with the local people brings you face to face with the reality. Youth and JDU Vice President Sunny Kumar said that Raxaul city councilor husband Deepak Gupta told that for organizing Bhagwat Katha, we have got a lot of cooperation from Raxaul city including our ward and Birgunj of Nepal. We ourselves have been traveling around with the organizer.
Got donations by hanging out with the organizer – Sunny Kumar
While talking to Sunny Kumar, a bright youth of the city, he said that he has collected a lot of donations by hanging out with the organiser. For organizing Bhagwat Katha. In such a situation, on the fourth day when he reached the pandal to listen to Bhagwat Katha, he was thrown out after refusing to recognize him and demanding Rs 1 lakh. After which tears welled up in his eyes, which the narrator considered to be the Prasad of Aniruddhacharya Maharaj, he went back and returned home after listening to the Bhagwat Katha, due to which I am going through a state of shock.
Whereas Motihari Police is busy in making complete security arrangements by involving QRT team, Scott, Police Force and many other police stations. The same SSB 47 battalion posted at Raxaul border called him to his camp and gave him god-like respect. Then, during the story of narrator Aniruddhacharya Maharaj, the father is coming to the mother by making many serious allegations among lakhs of devotees.
Raxaul MLA Pramod Sinha along with local cum West Champaran MP Dr Sanjay Jaiswal listened to the Bhagwat story. Katha is to be organized from 5th February to 11th February. The program is being organized in the premises of Raxaul Airport on the invitation of local people and with the contribution of local people.
