Separate incidents of fire were reported in many parts of Navi Mumbai on Monday (20 October), many of which proved fatal. In one accident, a mother and daughter lost their lives, while in another, about 4 people were burnt alive in the fire.

The first case is of Raheja Residency Society located in MG Complex in Sector-14, Vashi. Here a major accident occurred due to a sudden fire at midnight, in which four people died. The fire broke out on the 10th, 11th and 12th floors.

4 including 6 year old innocent and elderly woman died

A grandmother died in a house on the 10th floor, while a mother-father and a 6-year-old daughter lost their lives in a house on the 12th floor. Vashi fire department has brought the fire under control.

Cylinder blast in Kamothe, mother and daughter lost their lives

The second accident took place in Kamothe area of ​​Navi Mumbai. A tragic accident happened here on Monday (20 October) morning. A sudden fire broke out in the flat located on the third floor of Ambe Shraddha Cooperative Society located in Sector 36. It is being told that two gas cylinders kept in the house exploded, due to which the fire took a terrible form.

A mother and her daughter died in this accident, while three other members of the family somehow survived. The flames also damaged part of the fourth floor. As soon as the information was received, fire department vehicles reached the spot and after a lot of effort the fire was brought under control. All the residents of the society were taken out of the building as a precautionary measure.

According to fire officials, in the preliminary investigation, cylinder blast is being said to be the cause of the fire. At present, detailed investigation of the accident is going on.

32 fire calls in Mumbai

The fire brigade team received calls about fire at 32 places in Mumbai throughout the day yesterday. Apart from this, one person died in a fire in Cuffe Parade on Monday morning.

Pimpri Chinchwad: 60 new scooters burnt in fire

Apart from this, another major accident occurred when a fire broke out in an EV bike showroom and around 50 to 60 two-wheelers were burnt to ashes. A fire broke out in an EV bike showroom located at Wakad in Pimpri Chinchwad city at around 5.00 am on Tuesday (21 October). As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade team immediately reached the spot and extinguished the fire.

The initial estimate of the fire brigade is that the fire in the showroom may have started due to short circuit. It is fortunate that no one’s life was harmed, but the economic loss is huge.
