A five-day Mahakal Mahotsav has been organized in the Mahakal Temple of Ujjain. On the third day of this festival, Bollywood singer Sona Mahapatra sang Shiva devotional songs in her powerful voice from the stage. A special confluence of devotion and music was seen in the entire atmosphere.
Special show held in temple premises
This show was kept inside the Mahakal temple complex of Ujjain. This occasion was very special for Sona Mahapatra because for the first time she sang songs full of devotion to Shiva. This entire experience from Bhasma Aarti to devotional songs was quite amazing and memorable for him.
First experience of Bhasma Aarti
Sona Mohapatra spoke to IANS about her experience of attending Bhasma Aarti. He said, ‘This is the first time that I have got the opportunity to participate in Bhasma Aarti and we have also sung in Mahakal Mahotsav. This is the first time that we sang devotional songs continuously for 2 hours and all this has been possible only because of the blessings of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. By participating in Bhasma Aarti, one gets both peace and energy. When everyone was singing together in one tune, the mind was filled with energy. I have come here for the first time but will come again and again.
Expressed hope for the year 2025
Sona further said, ‘I feel that after today everything is going to be fine in my life and the country too. The year 2025 has been a year of ups and downs in every way and I hope that the energy of Bhasma Aarti will make everything right this year. I am taking this energy with me.
Said this on songs and Lord Shiva
Regarding the songs being made in Hindi cinema, Sona Mahapatra said, ‘I feel that now we should listen and sing relaxing songs because there is pressure everywhere to do only good. For us artists, Lord Shiva is everything because he has laid the foundation of dance and art. His blessings for this entire creation are very important for all of us. Let us tell you that Sona Mahapatra has given many great songs to Bollywood which include ‘Ambarsariya’, ‘Bahara’, ‘Naina’, ‘Mujhe Ka Lootega Rupaiya’, ‘Beda-Paar’ and ‘Jiya Laage Na’.
