Bollywood’s popular director Abhinav Kashyap is often in the headlines for some reason. Recently, he opened many secrets related to Salman Khan. Abhinav made his directorial debut with the Dabangg film. Now he has spoken openly about his film Besharam casting released in 2013.
In an interview given to Bollywood Three, Abhinav told that during Dabangg, he was pressurized to cast Katrina Kaif with Salman Khan. However, he did not think of Katrina for that role.
Ranbir-Katrina had an affair
Years later, when Besharam was casting, Ranbir Kapoor pressurized Katrina Kaif in the lead role in the film. During that, there was a discussion of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s affair.
Director rejects Katrina
Abhinav further said, ‘Ranbir told me in front that Katrina wants to work in this film, think about casting her ..’ The director further said that Katrina was not good for that role, because she wanted a Punjabi girl from Delhi.
Katrina’s English accent was very strong, which was difficult to hide. During that time he used to get most foreign and NRI characters. Abhinav Kashyap said that he was thinking about taking Sonakshi Sinha. Because he had previously worked with him in Dabangg.

But, Ranbir clearly said- ‘Not Sonakshi, I am not comfortable.
Everyone liked Pallavi during the audition. He was selected on merit, she was very much liked by Ranbir and his parents. However, this decision was opposed in the industry. Because, he played a small role in My Name Is Khan.
