There has been a continuous demand for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar to join active politics. From workers to big leaders of the party, this has been said many times. Posters have also been put up asking Nishant to join politics. However, every time the matter gets stuck here that Nitish Kumar has to take the final decision. Meanwhile, before Holi, senior JDU leader and Bihar government minister Shravan Kumar has made a big disclosure.
On Tuesday (March 03, 2026) he made it clear that Nishant Kumar is going to enter politics. Shravan Kumar said, “On the occasion of Holi, I want to say one thing… which is being discussed across the state for a long time… Nishant Kumar… is going to enter politics very soon. He will enter active politics very soon…”
Shravan Kumar wished for a bright future
Shravan Kumar said, “On the occasion of Holi, this is a message to the people of the state… especially to those youth who have been giving suggestions to him (Nishant Kumar) for a long time to enter politics… I think their wish will be fulfilled soon… I also wish him (Nishant) all the best to move ahead with the wishes of a bright future.”

Big leaders will decide together according to the youth
On the question, in what form will Nishant Kumar enter politics? In response to this, Minister Shravan Kumar said that he will decide our leader, but all I am saying is that he (Nishant Kumar) will come and there are many possibilities when he comes into politics. We are youth, according to the demand of the youth, our big leaders will take decisions together.
Told Nishant’s photo copy to Nishant
Minister Ashok Chaudhary has also reacted on this. He said that Nishant Kumar is educated. Is from engineering. The entire party wanted Nishant to enter politics. I think this is a big announcement on Holi. He (Nishant Kumar) will have a bright future. He is a photo copy of Nitish Kumar. Leaders will decide which role they play.
